Wednesday, March 5, 2014

Target Audience

This 6.0 hour continuing education course is designed for all oncology nurses as well as the general profession of nursing.  The goal of this course is to enhance and support the nurse’s role in caring for breast cancer patients and their designated family or caregivers following therapy.

The day will begin with an update on the latest information on the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.  Additional speakers will highlight post-treatment challenges for patients including nutritional issues, fatigue, and neuropathy.  These presentations support a holistic approach towards improvement in post-treatment symptom management for breast cancer patients by focusing on Complimentary Medicine, Nutritional Interventions, and Physical Therapy.
